Merry Christmas

As the festive season approaches its getting harder to find the time to blog so I thought I would take this moment to wish all of you lovely ladies that take the time to call in a very merry and hopefully relaxing Christmas and New Year. May all your wishes come true that you get a chance to relax and enjoy the holidays....
I will be off to the van on the 30th December for at least 2 weeks possibly 3 depends on the weather and one 12 year old boy lol.....
So far the shopping is almost finished I have cakes to make dinners to go to pressies to wrap .This Sunday I have the place to myself the boys are off to the van. I have the day planned out gym first then a visit to our local market pick up some goodies then home to make those cakes and wrap the pressie's .Its going to be a busy day,I'm begining to feel the spirit of Christmas not totally excited but getting there I'll get the christmas dvd out too!!! yah the boys are not overly impressed with my chrissie sounds lol...

Its been an age since I actually posted any news,to be honest there has not been much happening, but as the festive season approaches I thought I would add a little post.
Jack has started playing cricket and last week got 2 wickets in his first over with his first 2 balls and feilded really well and was given player of the day.This week they played the premier team and alas lost but came close.
I have turned into a gym junkie and am so enjoying the classes gave up weighing myself just trying to eat good things and get at least 4 classes a week in..At the moment I am watching Martha Stuart making cheesecakes torture I love cheesecake....
On to Lists I have recently visited Vicki Parker's Blog and Vicki is so on the ball with her lists Who else makes lists??????
I have to just to make sure I get through the things that need to be done christmas wise..

I love to make my own cards I have 4 done so far I love making gift boxes too I have decided this year to give all the kids a gift card or voucher and add a little somthing in the box.
I have bought the fruit for my cakes and sugar for my shortbread its going to be fun the hardest thing is deciding what to get Grant this year..For me the biggest challenge is getting a good 2/3 of christmas bar the food done before the 13th then its Salon time one day off the 18th and its already getting busy booking wise.
Its going to be full on no time for a december daily but I have decided to do a holiay journal maybe with a smash book I am hoping santa might bring me an instragarm camera dont know wether I have spelt that right :)

I have no excuses for my tardy blogging other than there not being enough hours in the day and that I have become a gym junky at least 4 times a week....
My boys have headed off to the beach this afternoon so I have had the added bliss of being able to do exactly what I want.....
I have to work tomorrow and they decided to come home for the big game Sunday I will get there in time for New Year.
I had a lovely Sunday afternoon last week Scrapping with the North Shore ladies managed 2 layouts watched in awe as Annelie designed 4 layouts without photos amazing.....put the world to rights and was home by 6pm..I have not had the chance to photo those 2 layouts and at least 6 more they will be soon and presented for your scrutiny.All of my layouts lately have been created using Studio Calico Kits I actually managed to use up June's kit this afternoon with a layout for Challenge me happy's latest challenge.There are a couple of scraps left 3 sets of alphas a few stickers and some cute little buttons there is so much in a kit and if you get an add on too it takes a fair bit of scrappin to get through it all,1 kit down 4 to go..

This is the view from the camp great spot very comfortable fantastic company so relaxing and stress free ran like clockwork by the lovely Shelley with the help of Esther and Mykayla what a team...
Big surprize and best kept secret of the year even Esther didn't know was the presence of the gorgeous Brenda...
I have to say that my good friend Nicki made my weekend ,we only met earlier this year at AE and got on so well last week we cemented out friendship Nicki your a wonderful warm witty and loveable human being I am so so glad our paths crossedI have a feeling we are going to be great friends..

I also got to meet Esther at last we have talked for the last couple of years and put the world to rights it was fantastic to meet this super lady in person ....I feel so lucky to have met so many wonderful women through this craft from all over NZ.

I will be at the next retreat and would love a couple of xtra days there it goes so quickly.I did manage 8 layouts Shell had 3 classes for us with product packs and a challenge pack.

I wonder if it will make it easier to post comments on other blogger accounts thats my biggest bug bear with blogger its such a pain having to keep entering your details just to leave a comment, its the main reason I set up a wordpress blog that I have never used ..... couldn't get the hang of it all.Its a bit like trying to use a Mac when your a pc girl... My news this week I have joined the gym lol.... I know weird I'm really not a gym person BUT the classes are really good I have had a free trial this week and have so far only done the balance classes second one this morning man I stretched..... I intend to go at least 3 times a week an I am booked in Wednesday to have a Health express check they will pinch my wobbly bits check my blood pressure and such then I am booked in for a weight challenge 1 session with a trainer... I want a programe that I can do when there isn't a class the co insides with my days off.A lot of the classes are early evening which dosn't fit in the family routine .I am going to do Body Jam at 5pm tomorrow as I can prepare dinner earlier in the day . I have hit a bit of a wall with the WW eating plan and my hormones have been giving me a run for my money again up and down hot flushes night sweats WHEN WILL IT END...... So I thought excersise might be just what I need to keep going, when my hormones are playing up I get sluggish I miss meals get tired and generally my metabolism gets very slow and I have come too far to let the weight slip back on SO the gym its is I have friends that are going too not always at the same time but I am determind to get to my Goal by at least December.....Wish me look...

Whats been happening apart from the freezing temps and yes snow in Auckland!!!...Today I had been invited to scrap with a wonderful bunch of talented girls and I can't make it feeling like something is creeping up on me sore throat no energy general yuk so decided last night to stay put and not share my germs.... HOPEFULLY I will get invited again hint hint!!!...
I finally managed to get a photo of my layout for Challenge me happy I am loving the challenges and viewing all the fantastic work from girls all over the world thats so cool....
We have a good chance of Jack choosing the High School we want him to attend rather then his first choice without us having to take it out of his hands all comes to he who waits aghhh paitence is a grand thing to have .. I had a meeting at the school this Friday and they have so much more help in place for kids with learning issuse.Next Thursday is enrollment day.
At the begining of the month we had a weekend at the beach the weather was kind and we had such a relaxing time Colin a friend had his 50th great party caught up with friends we haven't seen in a while they put breakfast on the following morning to heaven no cooking all weekend fantastic..

Last Sunday we had a mid winter christmas get together with friends had a fab time fell off the diet!!!.. we had such a laugh Julz had put together a xmas cracker for each couple finger lazer lights alien pens and fake moustaches as well as a few other bits and bobs... this photo is of the 3 moustachateers..... a few wine had been consumed by this stage..

So today I'm taking it easy going to scrap I have a progect I want to do for my niece its Jens 15th birthday next week she is an angel so sweet..Enjoy your weekend everyone ohh yes I di say a while back that I was changing to wordpress well as yet its not a happening thing I dont have the time or paitence to work it out so I am stopping here for a while yet ..It still drives me insane sometimes trying to leave comments on blogs but I will put up with it for the mean time..

The minuet I sit down to blog I get a mental block my brain goes blah blah lol.Here goes firstly some scrappy stuff FUN DAY is for a sketch challenge at Studio Calico using the Papermoon Kit, then at last some of the photos from Autumn Escape using SC Mindgap kit see I have gone blah again I cant remember how many I downloaded........what a sorry mess..I know the lovely canvas I did at Senz is there oh well another layout me thinks and then a glorious photo of my MAN CHILD..... He has the mind of a 12yrld the body of a prop forward and the face of an angel isn't he just gorgeous .....He had just had a shower the smell of Lynx filled the house!!!!! his hair is so wavy when its wet and he had decided to wear his clothes back to front that day the 12 yr old popping through I had to take a photo catch the moment while trying not to interfer with his viewing, Harry Potter marathon..
Later we went out for Sushi and to do some banking he walked 4 paces behind me keeping up but not actually with me we past a group of lads and one lets out JACK YO MY MAN I glanced back and they had bumped chest's shook hands glanced at me nodded and parted company I carried on laughing to myself .....Its started he's growing up and its not cool to walk with your mother I can deal with that when we got back to the car I got a big hug he is so cool a little resurance goes a long way for this mum...

The challenge is to use flowers and chipboard the paper is cosmo cricket I am so into yellow at the moment weird on some other level I must be craving sunshine.....
I made the flowers and used walnut stain crackle paint on the chipboard them dimmensional magic once it had dried I stamped it with stazon..
Very old photo wasn't my boy too cute (the little one) not that Grants not a honey both my men are gorgeous in every way.....

What a day .....
Yesterday started fine did some jobs made soup for my dinner left for work 11.30am parked the car and walking up the steps out of the carpark hit slimy foliage and down I went smashed my knees soup went flying.........
I picked myself up NEARLY CRIED my knees and hands smarting and feeling foolish got to work.
Cleaned up and started at 12 full head of foils teenagers haircut and my right knee starts to throb an hour later and its huge I cancelled my last two appointments rang grant to organise him to pick up my car and my next client works in long hair all one length and its all comming off ....it was agony trying to hop around the chair I know I should have re booked BUT new client 16 yr old and would she come back????? So I did it fantastic cut she looked amazing.I had to go down the stairs on my butt lol to get home my sweetheart Natalie took me home and my boys got me into the house.
So here I am at home with my leg up after some voltaren some of the swelling has gone down I have just done my shopping online and I'm taking it easy.I will venture out to the docs tomorrow if its still swollen.I can bear my weight on it today so here's hoping its nothing major...We are supposed to be going to check out a high school for Jack tonight maybe for an hour he is very keen on this school I'm looking forward to having a look around too .Now some lunch and some card making I have a whole stack of layouts to photo and edit Catch you later..............

Had a great day at Senz on Sunday finally bought a heatgun and some stamps heaps of chipboard some inkpads and flowers a palette of pearlized paints and managed to complete a class I will take a photo of my canvas and put it up tomorrow along with a couple of layouts I have put into a few challenges.

I am thinking of maybe moving from blogger to wordpress what do you think?? and if any of you have changed over was it easy ??
Its doing weird things like if I want to leave a comment on a blogger blog it makes repeatedly sign in ...sometimes I can quite easily then other times it wont so unpredictable its driving me nuts......
If I do can I take my stuff with me or do I start from scratch???? so many questions....
On a different note altogther I am off on a scrappy birthday party this Saturday, the lovely Beverly Cunningham is having a birthday this weekend and a few of us are getting together to scrap.I can't wait a Saturday off good company ,scrappin in a great scrappy store yahoo my idea of heaven.
I promise to share next week..
It was the ww weigh in tonight too and I lost 2kg the most in one week so far 10 more to goal and feelin great......

Its been a HELL of a WEEK

Well I was right Jack threw a massive wobbly Tuesday morning lost the plot big time the result being no school and a trip back to the Doc's.Problem sore ear feeling dizzy and nauseous. She was hard fetched to find any infection in his ear did say it could have been further in but......
I did have a talk with her and we will be looking to refer Jack to a Pediatricion for a good check up allround so to speak physical as well as mental well being.We have talked to his Teacher who was some what surprized. It seems that Jack is happy and doing ok but he did add that kids with a learning difficulty get very good at masking the pressure their under until it gets to the point that Jack is at now,and its been the same for a few years now.He is totally on board and willing to help in anyway he can which is a huge relief..So we need a report from his Teacher a little more background info from his birth mother( WHICH IS GOING TO BE A TOUCHY SUBJECT TO BRING UP )she is lovely but I'm not sure how she will react to some of the questions I'm going to have to ask but its Jacks wellbeing that matters.Then we can put in for a Referal.

Funny Week

Started off Monday night with Jack up all night with the squirts the following day both Jack and dad were surposed to be heading off to school camp with the rest of his class.Alas that was not to be and both men have been yuk all week.Then it was my turn with a cold starting on Friday. I did manage to get to our God Son Samuels 10th birthday tea yesterday luckly for me loading up with Sudifed I seem to have chased away the sniffles and I have made a be turn around..I had so much planned for last week quite evenings scrapping or reading,cooking getting the accounts in order but non of those thing happend my evenings taken up with nursing my sickies and working during the day..I was a little deflated I enjoy me time and not being on call lol....
Jack this evening had a headache ,sore tummy again......and was a little bit sick (SELF INFLICTED ME THINKS)WET HAND sort of gave it away....All this happend as soon as he went to bed he has been fine all day.
I dont think Jack is too keen to get back to school there will be a reason its not his fav place, will he let on.... not at this stage I will have to turn detective and keep a close eye have a chat with his teacher and hope like hell all is well. Winter effects both my men they get the blues from time to time....

Like I said a funny week I hope this one comming is easier...

Scotties May Challenge

Great challenge over at Scotties for their birthday celebration..
The first layout is for Sarah's Challenge using a different size layout mine is 10x11 and the colours yellow ,spring green and pale blue..
The next one is for Michelles challenge I have used a cream shimmer cardstock old stash cut into a shape for my different background. Inked the peel back area around my photo the photo too and edges of the pp and tag as well as the card stock.Bling,stickers and flowers are Prima I also used the backing from a prima pack to make the leaves my doilies are tucked under the flowers and the wee tag on the chip board bird.

It did for one evening and I THOUGHT YIPHEE BACK TO NORMAL only to be back on the outside the following day....
So here I am in the next room on the same wireless internet on the laptop crazy.....

I had a lot of fun last night trying to post on here none of the icons were to be seen I was in and out of settings and help till in the end I gave up tomorrow is another day I thought checked out fellow bloggers to see if they were having similar issues and Carol @ addictions had a post up went in to leave a message and ask if she had experienced any problems and I couldn't leave a post hmmmmm grrrr I left it at that.
Today is a different story where ever they went !!!!! who knows but their back and I can resume my posting hoooorrraaaa.....

At last I have managed to get into my blog now to get my photos up ....
My boys are at the beach I have been enjoying some quite time and created 2 layouts today on a different note my good eating habits flew out the window this weekend and I am feeling blobby and guilty and wondering if I'll make it to my weigh in on Thursday.I had a gain last week and dont want another .I know I should just get back on track tomorrow I will and not beat myself up but I am cross with myself for being so slack and weak.....In my next post I hope to be able to show you some of the layouts...

Computer Issues

Hi I am having some series computer malfunctions at the moment my main computer with all my contacts and photos has died ....I do have all the contents on a backup hard drive so at least once I get another I can restore all my files...ITS LIKE LOSING MY BEST FRIEND :(...
We have this laptop very old but I managed to hook up to my wireless only bits work and some dont it will let me recieve emails but not send and I must admit to not being able to remember evryones email addy without my list so I am making contact through facebook via the messages and on top of that I left my cell phone at out friends place in Taupo and as yet have not heard back as to whether they know where it is........ I can't cope without my means of communication .I have been trying for days to get in here for some reason I could get on others blogs but not mine....weird..
I do have some great photos from Autumn Retreat and had a lovely time i was not prepared for the size and volume of ladies for some reason I had 50 to 60 in my head in actual fact its more like over 100..It did run very smoothly the accom and meals were out standing the company sparkling lol Annelie and Megan were my crop buddies and awesome company we had a few giggles....The Classes I really enjoyed I will say though that I think I overdosed on the Saturday by doing 3 back to back pretty much and by the time I got into the last one was pretty done in and found it hard to focus on what we were doing.Which was a shame as it was a very cool class .I did complete the album part and one set of pages and then retired to finish it at my leisure, its so gorgeous Rachel Tucker is one very clever and lovely lady..I did two of Becky Flecks classes and really enjoyed them the amount of product in the class kits was amazing and it was good to work with small photos I really liked the prima class with Nic a stunning double layout overall a fantastic experience all round .......I am still unable to get on to my blog page for some unknown reason internet explorer SAY'S NO..............If you can see this post could you let me know via facebook and I will try and get some photos up too.sigh weep grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......lol

4 more sleeps and I set off with my men for Taupo am I prepared hummmmmmmmmmmmmm sort of lol still a bit to do ....Grant and Jack are going to hang out with friend who have just moved to Taupo so its a great chance to catch up with them .The boys are off to the coast fishing on the Sunday weather permitting and Jacks going to get to see White Island ,ever since being a nipper he has loved White Island its a boy volcano thing.. So needless to say he is thrilled plus he gets Friday off school AND a night in Rotorua..I am still sorting photo's had issues with ink for my printer and then the computer wouldn't boot up argggghhhhh.I have left it on now for 3 days I can't risk not being able to finish getting everything I need .Plus Jack still has work to do for a project (mums doing most of it)
On the weight front I dont know whether I have mentioned I decided 9 weeks ago to do something about my bod I joined WW and have so far lost 5.3 kg.
So chuffed I really had to get my eating habits in a regular pat

tern I could go all day on fresh air eating one meal a day my metabolism was so slow now I eat 3 times a day good stuff too lol and what a difference not only in my shape but my energy levels so apart from feeling really dum for leaving it so long I feel great...
The photos are of us out at Cornwallis Wharf no fish but a great family day had by all.The boys are at the beach this weekend home this arvo me apart from housework,homework and getting scrappy gear sorted I'm having a boogey while typing I have the media player on too and Michael George blasting out seeya later.............

Countdown to Autumn Retreat

I have to admit to getting very excited about the coming event and panicking a little too looking for descent photos some have to be unbelieveably small.Looking good though and its amazing at how many great photos I have found that I hadn't already commited to a layout, its been a great excersice now to make up some page kits to take with me..
I intend to be very well prepared. My classes start on the Friday afternoon with Nic Howards prima class and then 3 more on the Saturday I booked two extra ones (what the heck I told myself go for it) keep yourself busy........
2 are with Becky Fleck and I can't wait to meet her I love Page Maps, and a gorgeous mini album class with the lovely Rachel using an old book this is going to be so cool.......
In the mean time I have a couple of collections to work with for Andrea at SBO AND THEY ARE BEAUTIES....very spoilt
and saying that I had better get back to it..

Last Sunday we called over to Nicole and Eli's so Jack could meet his two beautiful 5 week old baby sisters Maddison and Bella.Gorgeous little poppets they are and so good,I gave Bella her bottle and just like Jack straight down hand on the side no messing around...They are so sweet and smell so good I tell you quite honestly I could have brought them home with me no touble at all.Bailey was jumping somersaults he can't get enough of Jack we missed Mia who was away for the weekend ..We had lunch lots of cuddles the boys had a great time together and we can't wait to catch up again soon ...

This Friday I ventured over to Greenlane the ASB showgrounds to take a peak at the CRAFT EXPO in the company of my dad who is also amazingly crafty he makes the most fantastic things out of wood tomorrow I will pop some of his work on here....Although it wasn't as big as I expected it to be it had a fair variety of stalls.
I of course stopped in at the SCOTTIE stall and made a few small purchases,one really cute mini album kit designed by the lovely Beverley Cunningham bursting with prima..
I also stopped by the Hastings Rubber Stamp company met the lovely Trish had a demo on the Slice and whipped back over there today and picked up a very sweet deal all in pink and tomorrow I am going to whizz through my house work and hopefully get chance to have a play.
I have a cricut and to be honest wanted something a little bit more mobile and easier to store as I have a limited amount of space..
SO if any of you cricut ladies out there are looking to pick up some very reasonable cartridges let me know I will be putting my cricut on trade me with at least 2 cartridges(cuttin up & jasmine).
I also have STORYBOOK , LIFES A BEACH, LYICAL LETTERS(NEW) PAGODA(NEW) AND HERITAGE.

Jack celebrated his 12 birthday on the 4th of March my mum her 86th on the 5th and Grants mum on the 12th. March is a major birthday month in our family.I do have a photo of my mum and as soon as I upload them to my folder I'll put one up..
Where does time go...... all of a sudden he has grown into this tall unpredictable adolescent..I am bracing myself for the onslaught of teenagedom.
On the crafty front I missed a great day out this Sunday the lovely Trina orgainised a crop in aid of Christchurch and by all acounts everyone had a fantastic time..
With lots raised and a very special guest in Heidi (topkatz) all the way from chch.
This weekend is the Craft expo at the ASB Showgrounds here in Auckland I will certainly be there on Friday with possibly my dad and mother inlaw in tow.

I have made a couple of 6x6 albums for Adrienne over at Scrappin Patch for kids in need if you have lots of scraps and some time bob on to the site and take a look its a very worthy cause..Apart from that on the scrappy front I have nothing to show it has been pretty busy and at some stage I need to get my A into G and start sorting my stash and putting some kits together for the Autumn Retreat next month...

Its been a while and a lot has changed in that short period of time some good and some totally devastating.To all the girls and their families in Christchurch my heart goes out to you.Its impossible to put into words how we felt watching the horror of the earthquake on Tuesday this week.Then how amazed as the sheer guts and determination of the Cantabrian people as they pulled together to help each other.Kiwis are a very special breed of people and its a privilege to be part of this great country being a pomwi and all.
To all my friends in CHCH ITS A BLESSING TO KNOW THAT YOUR ALL SAFE .

We have bought another caravan from friends who have moved to Taupo and we have been very busy or I should SAY Grant has been cleaning it out and getting it ready for us to move our gear into above are a few photos.
I have been busy the past couple of days creating with a gorgeous range of papers Andrea at Scrapbook Outlets sent me, Sassifrass Lass Paper Crush and as soon as I can I will upload them for you to have a look at.
A big thankyou to Yue and Dom for allowing me to use their gorgeous girls Piper and Georgie on these layouts, also there is one of Jacks tiny weeny new half sisters Maddison and Bella with Bailey and Mia born 10th of Feb at 35 weeks weighing 5lb and a bit each.We are hoping to catch up with all the family tomorrow and yep the camera is certainly coming with me...

Its been so long since I blogged and so much has happened.
We had a very easy laid back Christmas then took off to Pakiri for a couple of weeks,Fantastic weather great to catch up with our fellow permanents...the kids have all grown it has such a great little community feeling about the place .The estuary was like a lagoon at high tide and so deep in places the kids had a ball which was very handy as the surf was really choppy this year.
Jack got caught in a rip we were there Grant was in the first breaker looked up and Jack was at least 2 breakers away in seconds then he shifted over to the right and was beginning to strike out to stay above the wave luckily dad was right there and Jack did the exact right thing in going with it and he had come to the edge by the time Grant got to him.It all happened so quickly and was over in a matter of minuets .
He was quite shook up and upset but in one way its a good lesson we never let him go down to the surf without adult supervision and now he knows why.He was swimming between the flags and there are life guards on the beach .After that he stayed in the estuary.
A place came available for mum at the rest home on the 6th of January and she is in the secure unit and doing ok.My dad's feeling lots of mixed emotions and it's going to be sometime before he comes to terms with their new living arrangements.
Jack and I went to see mum this morning and Jack had an ice block with his Gran after they had lunch which he thought was pretty cool oh and tonight is happy hour and I know mum will be enjoying a sherry or two....
So far so good on the work front Grant has started this year with a full calendar for the next two months I so hope it stays this way and we get that upward turn in the economy..
Our lovely van is on the market and we are hoping to be able to down size and place another van at Pakiri.
I am back at work and my first week has been busy that's good and I have the Autumn Retreat to look forward to in April with some awesome classes and fab roomie I cant wait... So that's me about up to date I have completed my first layout of the year for this weeks FRIDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE OVER AT SCRAPBOOK OUTLETS AS SHOWN ABOVE with some snaps of our holiday...

Its getting close and I hope your all on target with your shopping and crafty gift making.
I thought I would post now as tomorrow is my last day off and to say I'm tired is an under statement my darling boy has just made me a coffee a new trick lol to get round mum man I love that kid ..
I have been making gift boxes and still have some xmas cards to send but on the whole I am getting there.Tomorrow is all mapped out first thing colour hair do 4 haircuts ,super market and then mother in-laws,make xmas cake washing and bed ta daaaa.. Roll on 3pm Friday .Sorry if I sound blah I am sort of over it already lol
I so wish we could just dissapear the 3 of us and just put the world on hold gee I am tired.......lol

Hi Its been a very busy couple of weeks at home and at work.I have had the dreaded lurgy for the last 2 weeks so very nasty last week and its still hanging on....
My younger brother has been here too visiting our folks..
I unfortunatley couldn't take anytime off work even though I was sick !!!!! one of the other staff has been sick so we have been short staffed.NEVER MIND I still had my Monday and Friday to catch up with Rob and in all seriousness the trip was for mum and dad its been 9 years since they last saw him.
Grant,Jack and I saw him off yesterday it has been great having him around and a few tears were shed as he said his goodbyes.Rob had such an impact on Jack he has certainly become the no:1 Uncle from now on.Rob is full of life a great clown and lots of fun Missing you all ready bud.....

The last 3 items are from the Pixie-licous Cosmo Cricket collection part of the October product Reveal.
I must admit to having a love hate relationship with Cosmo Cricket. It takes me a while to get into the pp I often find them a bit flat,BUT with time and a lot of fiddling around I have enjoyed the challenge of working with this collection and am really happy with the results.
The first two layouts are the first part of my November Reveal using FancyPants Its your Day Range.I have been working with this collection and my December Product this afternoon.The Fancypants pp is gorgeous and the best part is all the extra goodies I love the glitter cut outs and transparencies.I have made today a little birthday keepsakes booklet just using the journal blocks on one sheet of pp.They are about the same size as an ATC it's so cute ,I also made a 8'by 6' album using the leftover piece of transparency from the layout above.There is so much variety in this kit I still have a whole sheet of alphas I have'nt even used yet as well as lots of pp and one more transparency.I will have lots more to reveal later in the month so back to my scrappy corner.

Things are a changing

Hi sorry its been a while time gets away on me .Lots of changes about to happen I don't know whether I have talked about my gorgeous wee mum. She has Alzheimer's at 86 she is strong physically but her world mentally is getting smaller and smaller it breaks your heart.Its got to the stage where its become increasingly difficult for Dad to manage and Mum has been assessed as needing a secure Dementia unit as she likes to wander.
We have Mums name down at a local Retirement home its pleasant has a lovely garden the staff are friendly and Pauline who runs it is a kind and compassionate person.I know Mum will be well cared for we can visit whenever we like BUT I cant help feeling guilty,sad and have a great sense of loss grieving for the person Mum used to be.The one conciliation is that to a certain extent she has no idea of how much has changed for her I am a great friend someone she can rely on I am no longer her Daughter in her mind.
Next week my younger Brother is visiting for a couple of weeks he hasn't been to NZ in ten years.I am so looking forward to seeing him and having some family time.It will be interesting to see if she remembers Rob I hope she does.
Change is a perculiar thing something I'm not great with one thing we do have is fantastic memories and pictorial evidensce of what a wonderful loving mum and grandma she is.

I have just had my first weekend off in weeks and we went off to Pakiri to the caravan and we had a fabulous time.Saturday the weather was amazing the boys threw the rugby ball around while I tidied up did a little cleaning as you do when the place has been locked up for months it needed airing . Then I lazed around reading and just taking in the lovely peaceful surroundings.One of the best things about going up at this time of the year is its so quite you have the place to yourself.
Saturday night we took Grant to the SAWMILL RESTAURANT in Leigh for pizza they are divine its a tradition that we go the first weekend at the start of our summer it falls nicely around Grants birthday, during the summer its packed to the rafters...
I love this visit it marks the beginning of our weekends to the van.I work every other weekend so come Friday teatime we're packed and ready to get up to paradise.
I get everything ready for the 3 weeks we spend there after Xmas and this year I'll need to be prepared December is all work and not much else its now that I miss being at kindy the parties and concert the wind down to the end of term the 7 week break............ Its the total opposite at the salon all hell lets loose and its all hands on deck I have 1 day off in the last 2 weeks of Dec I'll be doing a lot of late night shopping....

This first week of the school hols Jack has been in two TENPIN Bowling Tournaments.
The first one by invitation he played in the doubles and the team.They came 5th in the doub's and 2nd in the team event he recieved a very cool medal.
On Thursday and Friday he played in the Waitakere Youth squad in the Nationals.
Jack being the youngest member of their squad had a fantastic time played out of his skin.The team manager and coach were thrilled .Its a great honour for Jack to be part of this team he is the youngest member ever the top age being 20. All the kids had a great time at the function on Friday night they danced their legs off amazing energy and YES my boy got up on the floor and boogied the night away I was so chuffed..... (HIS DAD IS NO FRED ASTAIRE let me tell you he has danced or shuffled with me twice in 15 years)now me I'm a disco queen from way back but sadly no one in my age group got up to dance and I didn't want to look a sad old geriatric and embarrass my boy......lol lol

I have been working 5 days through the school hols crazy I know filling in for a staff member on hols in Bali and my prezzie better be good lol.I hate working the hols I miss my boy and just hanging out roll on xmas I have 3 weeks off yahoo ....

I recieved the Cosmo Cricket PIXIE-LICIOUS range jammed full with over 59 goodies.I have barely skimmed the surface..
Its a very cute girly range my biggest challenge is to get some baby boy layouts out of this kit stay tuned for the mid month reveal.In the meantime here are a few of the items I have come up with using this collection.

Its been a while I know and its quite late so I will keep this brief for now.. Here are some of my latest efforts.Above is my example for week 8 of the kiwianna challenge at SBO its all about weaving and koru.I cant believe we are at the last challenge week 9 is the mystery product that will be sent to all who accumulate a 100 points or more..Its so exciting I can't wait to see what they all come up with........The other layouts are from a lovely collection Andrea sent me to work with for September "To Love and Cherish" I have tried to show a varying range of layouts using everyday photos as well as lovely wedding shots.
Amazing pp so glossy and sparkly I had a great time with this range.I am busy on my October products and organizing challenges for my week next month.Make sure your keeping an eye on the forum things are getting very hot very soon there will be 3 very ecstatic ladies with a BRAND NEW SLICE EACH.....

I have received an email today from the acting principal and he will be giving the boys a warning anymore behaviour bringing the the school into disrepute will result in them not being able to travel on the bus for up to six weeks, quote (we will give them a warning that any further misbehaviour will result in them being banned from using Ritchies buses for a period of up to 6 weeks. I'm sure their parents will welcome this message when they receive it!)
So as far AS I AM CONCERNED THE MATTER IS NOW CLOSED.
I do hope they take it on board and think twice next time....

CONSEQUENCE'S

This Thursday I had the chance to teach two high school boys the consequence of their unfortunate actions......
I am the sort of person who takes offence to rude and uncalled for behaviour let me tell you more.......

I happened to be stood at a crossing waiting for the lights to change after finishing work this Thursady afternoon when a school bus past I looked up and first one boy and then his mate looked straight at me and gave me the FINGER !!!! I thought whats that about and then I decided no they are not going to get away with that and wrote down the buses Reg...Thinking I would email the schools principal (I know the principal of said school too)
I got to my car and proceeded to drive home stopping to do an errand and then continuing home, I turned into my road and just ahead I spotted a school bus and when I checked its plate low and behold it was the same bus I followed the bus up the rd and passed my house until it stopped at the bus stop I pulled in behind nipped out and banged on the bus as the driver was just about to pull away .He stopped and I got on .Only one of the boys was left on the bus and as I walked towards him I asked his name, what do want to know that for he had no idea who I was ......I calmly explained in a calm but steely voice that NO ONE GAVE ME THE FINGER AND GOT AWAY WITH IT .. the light went on lol I asked again and he told me I then told him I would be seeing him and his mate MONDAY MORNING AT SCHOOL TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCE'S of their actions and got off the bus....

I hope that next time they may think twice ....
I am in two minds as to whether I follow through with my threat or hope that I have given him something to think about this weekend but somehow I doubt that..
Was I right to take it to this length should I have shrugged it off as boys!!!!!!
No I think they need to know that its not acceptable and no one has to put up with being treated that way...and that's the consequence of behaving badly.

Week 4 is up and runnin and this weeks challenge is based on REMOTNESS THE WIDE OPEN SPACES OF OUR LOVELY COUNTRY..in scrapbook term WHITE SPACE... my example is above.It can be a tricky task for the scrapper who loves to fill most of their C/S..
But I am sure there are going to be lots of great layouts uploaded this week..

I have been catching up on my card making today I like to keep a few on hand and my supply had got very low..Now to cook dinner and then get back to my cards we have a new arrival in our extended family Yue and Dom have a lovely daughter Georgie a little sister for Piper I am hoping to get some photos to scrap she is a little angel my next card will be a baby card I have a new stamp I want to try I promise to post them when I'm finished. Thought I would share my example for Challenge 2 over at SCRAPBOOK OUTLETS.Week 2 was my week to set the challenge and post 3 questions and I have to say a great massive big thankyou to all that took part and played along.We had 51 entries and man is there some amazing talent in NZ....

What have you been up to this WEEKEND

I have been very productive we had friends for dinner and the game on Saturday I cooked a huge Italian feast had a fantastic time in the kitchen.I haven't made a chocolate mousse for ages and it came out perfect we had an apple sponge too for dessert and Lasagne and Spinach and Riccotta Cannellonie with pizza base garlic bread and salad.
AND even if I say so myself it was all so fine I did of course get the cheese burn but hey it was worth it .......

Today I have spent the best part of it cleaning out the spare room culling Jacks toys I'm off to kindi tomorrow to drop off a heap of gear.
It looks so much better all we need now is a bed to go in there and new nets for the windows..
The builder comes tomorrow to pull out our old shower and by the end of the week I will have a lovely sparkly tiled floor to ceiling new shower....

So you could say my weekend has been busy but the best one in a while I'm tired but its a good tired the type you feel when you have achieved something..
Tomorrow is another busy day car needs a wof I need to organise a tip for Tuesday ( check out the sbo blog Tuesday.I have my 2nd little person doing a pride project (travel iournal) after school then ZUMBA never a dull moment...

Sorry girls for my lack lustre postings .
I have had a full plate and have had to keep it to just the important stuff....
Life has been pretty tricky of late Jack has been having a bit of an up down sort of time and at LAST I think they have finally got the message at School I am so sick and tired of them playing around they think he is cool!!!!! popular (yes) but he is struggling to cope and inside he is screaming and frustrated angry and we have the very sh---- end of the stick......
Sorry to off load but its so hard I have finally given in and have decided to take Jacks paper work and reports from Pro Ed to our GP AND GET THE DISABILITY THING IN THE OPEN.
Then maybe they might take me seriously.

You know what its like when you've been hanging out for the weekend have it all sorted and then pooffff all goes up in smoke lol I'm having one of those weekends.
I work every other Saturday so when one comes around and yep its the day all the girls are getting together to scrap aghhh the anticapation is almost to much DH comes home and has to work SATURDAY till 2pm next minuet the girl who's hair I had planned to put up at 4pm now has a pre ball cocktail party can I do it at 2.30pm.So no scrappy fun with the girls and I must admit to being a bit of a slug today not in the mood for much.I know its not Grants fault he certainly didn't want to work today its just that fate seem against me and it has happened the last couple of saturdays Iv'e been off nerver mind I'll stop moaning lol..
I did manage to create this Canvas yesterday for my sweet little miss, I have been helping put an album together for her pride project at school.We have two weeks left before her project has to be handed in and this is my prezzy to her for being so enthusiastic and hard working .The album has come together really well and B has worked on it herself and will become one great little scrapper she's hooked lol..B's album is all about her dancing history this is my fav photo isn't she gorgeous...

Yes ladies my darling sweet [BIG] 11yr old has turned into a shouting surly emotional mini man.......
We have been put through the ringer this week..
Talk about being on an emotional roller coaster poor darling and its only just started as Jack is our one and only child we were some what taken back at the ferocity of his mood swings ,silent treatment, and total lack of compliance with anything.Its been a mission just to get him to school.
Last night he came home from school and told me they had had a puberty talk at school and its TESTOSTERONEmum not me I'm loaded with it lol that's why I'm being like this....I had to suppress a smile the look of relief on his face, so its not me mum do you think dad will let me have my PS3 back????????
HUM no not just yet quite a few house hold rules flew out the door this week we are slowly getting back on track last night being the first without a slanging match before bed.....And from the look of his understanding of the questions on his puberty quiz we are going to have to have a cosy little chat I will give him his due he had a lot more idea then I thought .Some of the questions though I find a little bit hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm .. All part of them growing up and perhaps I am being naive in thinking that he is too young, at least to the question of New thoughts about girls accompany physical changes at puberty he answered DON'T KNOW.... Over at Sbo its Friday Night Sketch night, here is my example using cosmo snorkel pp and element stickers. The Thursday Challenge also started yesterday each week for the next 3 weeks a different Dt member will challenge you to make a "mini project" there is a rak draw each week to be in the draw enter your example into the gallery. This weeks challenge is to alter some chipboard could be a flower or alpha anything you like.Week 4 will be the main challenge incorparating something from the previous weeks with a possible added twist.The winner of week 4 will recieve a gift voucher form SBO...
Well worth a visit there is so much going on....

Where to start
Thank you for all your birthday wishes I managed to reach 50 unscathed lol and actually enjoyed it.Just the right amount of celebration,my Pandora bracelet is a lot heavier loved all the lovely charms I was given they are very special..
At the moment Jack and I are both snuffly and at home ,I will go back to work tomorrow but he will have another day home.
I have been creative BUT can't show it just yet and then you may have to pay a visit to SBO and that's a good thing as there will be loads of great things going on from the 1st of June......:) See you there..
I have been fairly inactive all weekend except for the usual house duties (cleaning)
I have been reading the Sookie Stackhouse series of books from the TV series TRUE BLOOD a few I have taken out at the library but they are so popular the waiting lists have got ridiculous and I got impatient.I managed to find them at the warehouse yah so that's me this arvo reading vamp stories and possibly doing a little baking.Have a good week and I will be back later in the week..

Morning ,
I have been up since 7.30am and I have made this card for Grant, for our Wedding Anniversary this coming Wednesday.Its nice to get a little crafty time in before I turn into House cleaner, Chef and hopfully this afternoon revert back to Crafty Jane lol in more ways that one lol.... Grant has always wanted a piece of green stone and I thought hmmm! it will make an ideal pressie. We have been married 15yrs this year. I am going to attach it to the leather on the inside of the card .

Thanks for the kind thoughts girls and I did have a nice day and lovely surprize from the boys a beautiful card and a lovely glass bead for my bracelet!!!! Grant told me he chose this particular card because it looked like something I would make aghhh so sweet....
We went out for coffee visited the in laws and came home to a lovely casserole and apple sponge I had prepared earlier and had dinner with my mum and dad..
Tuesday night I had time to create the layout above.This little angel is Katerina or katushka(pet name) with her nana Katerina is nearly 3 and the daughter of Grants cousin Jorin isn't she just precious..

So whats new this week well...
Last weekend we had to remove Jacks ps3 for the week and set some new rules in place he was off the recta scale (not sure if thats the right spelling lol)but you know what I mean....
So he was actually pretty good all week a little whinney but we calmly stood our ground and I think it sunk in that we ment buisness. Last night we wrote up a contract on hours of useage and when times up no performing or he gets a strike 5 in 1 week or day lol means 48hrs off and it goes in the box..
He has been much better less surly we have played games read and had fun.. Long may it last..
Its my weekend off so I HAVE BEEN CLEANING CEILINGS YAH!!!!!.Washing two ton of clothing,baking and now a little me time I have made my cards for tomorrow bought the gifts I'm done phew!!.Later Grant and I are off to catch up with friends Jacks on a sleep over so all good in my household .
I would love to do a little scrapping but at this stage I dont like my chances...
So all you ladies out there have a lovely day tomorrow .

Just a quickie Jack made up for it last night they had a centre against centre team challenge and jack got 6 strikes in a row!!!! in his last game he is very chuffed his score coming to 193 for the game and 400 pins over 3 games next week its at the other centre for the play off......He feels much better and I managed to have a little chat with the chap that runs TBNZ AND IT SEEMS THERE ARE QUITE A FEW PEOPLE WITH COMPLAINTS.They will have to pull their socks up for the next round....LOL

I have been scrappin this weekend and managed to do Lizzy's class for the life of me I cant find the chipboard title we were given in the kit so I improvised. The other layout is of my own design but with a hint of Annelies class I used the left over pink paislee pp and cut out the flowers like we did for Annelies class,thankyou for the inspiration Annelie......
This weekend found us at Takapuna Bowling centre for the next tour of the nationals.Alas neither of the boys got through but it was a great day a little spoilt by the cordinator getting the masters list for the juniors up incorrectly they had Jack at 6th when infact he was 7th and only the first 6 go through we waited there from 2.30pm till 5pm when the junior masters were due to play off and when he went to book in she told you didn't make the cut he was gutted and very close to tears I was blazing because we had been there all afternoon thinking he was in.....AND the women responsible didn't even say sorry to Jack for HER mistake not fair poor little man........He was up against stiff
competition most of them in their teens and we are very proud of how he performed and for being so good about it all he went and wished the other kids good luck before we left....

I have found a wee bit of time to come and blog in between feeding folk washing and housework, I did manage to scrap yesterday with my mother in law we had a great time and I left my gear in the lounge so I can continue and be with the boys too.My scrappy room is a wee bit nippy .I completed to of the kits I had made up for camp but didn't get round to doing and helped mum with her pages I feel like I'm back on track and I'm really enjoying scrapping again.
Last weekend we managed to get to the van the weather was glorious on the Saturday Jacks Bio family came out for the day as you can see from the photos we all had a truly great day and next time they are going to stay over and make a weekend of it..
So now I'm off to watch Greys Anatomy drag my boy off his play station and finish the washing..........................

Busy weekend with a bowling tournament for Grant work Saturday for me lots of running around a funny Easter overall.The good news Grant did very well Canterbury came 4th overall and 4th in the mens league out of 10 teams.They played 6 games a day with 5 players in each team.Grants best game saw him get 8 strikes in a row, last night they had a dinner and prize giving thankfully it finished relatively early and we were home by 10.30.I have been spasmodically adding the finishing touches to the layouts i started at scrap camp in between cooking cleaning and a mound of washing.
Back at work tomorrow till 3pm.SBO are looking for a new Design team and I am contemplating submitting the requirements I have till the 26th to make up my mind.Great movie to go see Clash of the Titans I have always been a great fan of Greek Mythology and this movie certainly delivers Jack was sat on the edge of his seat.We all enjoyed it pity it costs an arm and a leg to actually go to the movies these days as a family......

Fantastic weekend had a lovely time ,a bit shaky to start off with had a wicked migraine Friday night and ended up in bed by 9pm not much achieved on the scrappy front.
I came right the next day and made up for it all together I managed 9 layouts.
The 2 classes and the make and takes certainly kept us busy.
I must add a big thank you to Trace ,Vicki and Heidi for welcoming me into the fold and it was lovely to catch up with Carol this lady is so sweet and such a talent. Carol cleaned up 2 major prizes with her amazing tag and double layout and shared one of her wins with all the girls at our table such a generous lovely lady.Nip over to the side bar and click on My Addictions to get to Carol's blog.Everything was just great from the company to the shop (kept to my budget) could have gone bananas but reined myself in.The food was really nice and we didn't have to do a thing just eat laugh scrap and get a little sleep!!!!...
My idea of a great weekend roll on next year.
A special thank you to a dear friend Trace who goes the extra mile for everyone ,Trace picked me up and dropped me off and ferried a few of us around for bits and pieces nothing was too much trouble Trace your a Star*****...

I'm getting excited now only have a few more days to wait and I will be in Christchurch with Trace,Heidi,Vicki and Carol having a ball oh yes and getting some scrapbooking done.
I cant wait to do Lizzies and Annelie's classes I promise to be good in fact I am leaving the credit cards at home...
I have some spends saved up and thats it. Now comes the hard part what to take to do in the way of photo's. I must admit to not having done much of late and I am finding it difficult to actually get motivated .When I have finished this post I am going to force myself into my room and try and put some kits together...

;Wow busy weekend thankgod I dont work Mondays.Yesterday about 35 friends and family got together to celebrate my Mother inlaws 7oth Birthday.Fantastic day gorgeous weather and lovely venue Alley House Kumeu Auckland for those that are up this way fantastic food and service....Now to clean the house and try to get sorted for Scrap camp next week..... I made the cake and used the Storybook cartridge for the frames.That cake is a very easy choc recipe with white chocolate fudge icing also very easy to make .It makes a huge cake great for special occasions..
